There are times when two images belong together. The first two images are a great example of my theory. Each image is great but together, they are magical. I’d say that the promise of ice cream before dinner was an excellent bribe!

Happy Birthday James
Wednesday, July 20th, 2011In honor of James’ first birthday we spent the morning playing and taking photos. He was eager to show off his walking and door opening and running and window patting skills (he wore me out!) While it’s unconventional, I would have a giant canvas of this image of James’ backside while running in my house. I love everything about this image including the crazy hairs, the diaper position, James’ franken-walk, the brightly colored balls…Happy Birthday James!!!
Magnificent
Saturday, October 23rd, 2010Noah is quite the fan of Sesame Street and rattled off some of his favorite “big” words for me including, “Magnificent.” That would definitely be a word I would use to describe the first image. The subtle eyebrow raise and curious gaze are met with an adoring smile from Mom.

“When I read about this contest, I knew immediately who I needed to nominate! Lisa and Don , two people who truly embody what it means to complete random acts of kindness!
My husband and I moved to NE Ohio about 3 years ago and we didn’t know a soul. We moved into our new house and the first people to welcome us to the neighborhood were Don and Lisa. They are the best neighbors. They are quick to lend a hand, lend a cup of milk, watch your children, shovel your snowy driveway or run down to your house in the wee hours of the morning to turn off a curling iron that may have been accidentally left on.
Lisa and Don have been through their fair share of struggles this past year. They have met every struggle head on and with a smile. Lisa’s ability to look on the bright side amazes me. In January 2010, their struggles have now turned into TWIN additions to their previous family of three!! Nothing could be better then forever capturing this crazy, sleepless and amazingly happy time!
Don and Lisa really embrace RAK throughout every single day. They constantly look for ways to bring joy to others around them. They deserve this photo shoot!!”
