“Big Tom” requested a photo of “Little Tommy” (a future Ohio State Quarterback) with a football. The little man dutifully cooperated and will love looking back at this image when he signs his letter of intent. Go Buckeyes!

Friday, May 27th, 2011The Fourth Trimester…and Beyond
Monday, May 2nd, 2011It’s time to update the blog and get back into the swing of things after our lives changed on December 17, 2010 when we welcomed our second son, Dean Alexander Lewis, into the world. If I close my eyes and remember back to the moment the nurse put him on my chest, I can still feel his dark wisps of hair tickling my chin and his long legs curling up on my arms. We were shocked to see how much Dean resembled Brendon. (I admit to confusing the boys when looking at their baby photos.)
Brendon did not meet Dean until we brought him home from the hospital. The images from their meeting will play an important role in the highlight reel of my life. Brendon’s smile was sheer delight and love…it’s makes me tear up thinking about it. Through good and bad, thick and thin, the boys will have each other and that makes my heart happy.
The boys have “brother time” daily. They lie in our bed and chat/squeal and play.

One of my favorite images from “the early days.”

The dreaded baby acne. Dean had a nasty case of it for about 8 weeks. (This is why I photograph newborns so quickly…my kids are poster children for cystic baby acne.)

3 months old and trying to motor around.

An image from today…someone did not want to nap. He always makes me laugh when he bats his long eyelashes and smiles.
Urban Chaos
Monday, October 18th, 2010If you were to attempt to draw a map of the path a 19th-month-old takes to get from point A to point B, it would most resemble a set of squiggle lines and loops. The first image sums up Genevieve’s path perfectly. Her family is herding her to safety and she is joyfully running away from them. Run munchkin, before your big sister, Simone catches up to you! Thanks to the Herro family for trekking all over downtown Akron to get these shots!
