For Bill and Phyllis, it seems like yesterday that their three kids were huddled in this wagon. A few years and 9 grandchildren later, the blessings in their life have multiplied. Their beautiful family gets together every couple of years to record how big the kids are and how young the adults look. Thanks to all for including me in your tradition!
The evening light at the end of last week was spectacular and Hinckley Lake has much to offer in terms of settings. Payton and Riley were happy to let me capture some awesome images of them and their family at dusk. I love the look of sunlight streaming through the trees and onto the tiny fashionistas.
This one should be titled, “High Five Gone Wild.”
As an aside, Payton and Riley are my son’s buddies. When I was putting the images together for this post, he wanted to know why he was not in their photos…while he does have good taste in women, it will be some time before he can sneak into their family photos.
In honor of Jane’s 60th Birthday, her family designed a four day extravaganza of fun events to celebrate Jane. I felt honored to be “Day One’s” special event. Watching Jane’s family goof off and enjoy eachother’s company was quite a treat. Jane is lucky to be surrounded by so much genuine affection. Happy Birthday to you!

The wedding day of Lisa and Mark was a (MUCH!) anticipated event for family and friends as the day was thirteen years in the making. They said their vows during a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony and then was the party or should I say, parties. Mark and Lisa choose to have a traditional reception followed by an afterparty complete with beer truck and hot dog booth. This was a party that all involved will not soon forget. Congratulations to Mark and Lisa!
Baby Luke arrived just 6 days prior to his big photo shoot. Aleah is such a proud big sister the entire family is in love with his big cheeks and blond mop of hair. Luke will grow up surrounded by a wonderful family that gives him lots of love. Congratulations!
Before the rush of a new school year started, Cameron fit me into her busy summer schedule for some updated photos. I love her toothless grin and her bright brown eyes. The last pic was a “must include” for the blog. Cameron loved goofing off with my reflector. I love her big smile in that pic.
Lucy and Rosie are living in NYC and came back to Akron to visit their families and friends. It was a big trip for Lucy, who will be three months old soon. Rosie is a seasoned traveler and taught her little sister all about flying.
I have to say that I am in love with this first image for so many reasons. Lucy is a very happy baby but the little frown has to be one of the most precious “non-smile” expressions I have captured. As our children grow, we tend to forget how the tiny curled lips turn into passionate cries. This is a keeper.
I photographed Noah’s big sister, Ellie, when she was just about 6 months old. Seeing as how the family has expanded, it was a treat to see the new family all together (and I got to see Leo’s giant pink tongue again. That dog makes me laugh!) Noah really wanted to nap but resisted the urge for us. Such a good boy! Congratulations on the new addition!
Kenton was welcomed to the world just 18 days ago. We woke him up for his first modeling session…and then he promptly fell asleep when he had enough. This little man has a thousand entertaining expressions. Congratulations to Miryn and Kyle!
I met Zachary about two years ago for his one year photos. During this visit, I had the opportunity to meet his cute-as-a-button-smiley sister, Abby. The favorite photo spot for the day was the top of the slide.
One of my favorites of the day…Abby had finished (sort of) all of her cheerios and was playing peek-a-boo with me.
