Baby Emma spent the morning with cooing and laughing and playing with her Mommy and Daddy while I took a few photos. She was such a relaxed and happy baby during the shoot. I loved seeing her adorable dimple when she smiled.

Mothers Helping Mothers Photo Shoot

The Mothers Helping Mothers photo shoot is just around the corner and I thought that I’d share a little history behind the project. Truth is, I am not all that original. The polaroid of my Mom, Sister and I from an event held in a Gimbels department store can be viewed below. As far as I can remember, the photo was part of a store promotion. The image is priceless (and my Mom and Sister are going to LOVE that I shared it on the internet) because my Mom was always taking photos of us!
For those of you unfamiliar with the project, the MOMS Club of Copley/Fairlawn, Bebe Suite and FML Photo Design sponsor a mini photo shoot marathon to benefit ACCESS Shelter of Akron. ACCESS is unique in that the facility caters to women and children. The guests that stay at ACCESS come from all walks of life and utilize the services while they are getting back “on track.” It is a wonderful organization and all of us who are involved in the event are very excited to be contributing to “Akron’s Best Kept Secret,” aka, ACCESS.
Thus far, we have had a great response from the Akron and Cleveland communities. Many of you have found me (Felicia Lewis or FML Photo Design) on facebook and expressed interest in being photographed with your children. Please follow the link provided to be a part of this special event. The event will take place at the super cute baby boutique, Bebe Suite, in Fairlawn April 16-18. Appointment times are limited and will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
A Little Love
Saturday, March 6th, 2010While loveys are wonderful, there is nothing in the world like the comforting touch of your sister. Zoei and Xannah worked so hard for me today and we got some great shots of the girls and their beautiful parents!
Zoei’s state of lovey bliss is just perfect. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all could carry our loveys into adulthood?

Friday, March 5th, 2010Shelly, Connor’s Mom, asked me if I usually put my favorite images from a session on the blog…in this instance, I saved a bunch for the proofs…however, I absolutely LOVE the first set of images in this bunch. Connor’s reaction to his dad calling out “C” and making silly faces resulted in these priceless expressions.

“Baby Ian was born in early January and has had a difficult start to life. He was born with a heart defect and will have to undergo open-heart surgery in approx. 2 months to begin fixing the problem. He is loved by many and I know his family would appreciate having some beautiful professional photos of him. He truly is a blessing and such a strong little guy!”
Please keep Baby Ian in your thoughts as he attempts to gain weight and grow in order to receive his heart surgery!
Welcome Baby Owen
Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010Baby Owen was welcomed to the world just a week ago by his proud Mommy and Daddy and his canine siblings. Snugly babies in warm and cozy blankets are my favorite part of photographing newborns. Owen’s absolute contentment (due to a milk coma and a warm & fuzzy blanket) makes for a precious image. Congratulations to Katie and Jon!
